MSSU athletes represented on MIAA's Winter Academic Awards list

(From MSSU Lions Athletic News)

The MIAA has announced its Winter Academic Awards and the Missouri Southern Athletic Department is represented by several on the list.

Seven student-athletes earned the MIAA Academic Excellence Award. The Award is earned by achieving a cumulative grade point average of 4.00 or better at the certifying institution. The student-athletes with this honor must also have at least two terms of attendance at the certifying institution (excluding summer terms).

Three student-athletes earned the Scholar-Athlete Award. To earn the Scholar-Athlete Award, student-athletes must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.50, have at least two terms of attendance at the certifying institution (excluding summer terms), and, if competing in a championship sport of the MIAA, earn All-MIAA honors. If competing in a sport without an MIAA championship, the student-athlete must either be selected to an All-Region/District team in a team sport, or qualify for the national meet in an individual sport.
