MSSU women's golf eighth after day one of MIAA Fall Preview

Axtell, Neb. -- The Missouri Southern women's golf team is in 8th place after day one of the MIAA Fall Preview hosted by the University of Nebraska-Kearney at Awari Dunes Country Club.

The Lions shot a round one 317 as a team at the first MIAA points event of the season.







Kylie Carnes and Maggie Moore are tied for 12th individually as the duo shot a round-one 76. Kenzie Kirkhart shot an 82, while Hannah Torres shot an 83.

Central Missouri is first after round one, shooting 296 as a team. Central Oklahoma is second, followed by UNK, Sioux Falls, Rogers State, Northeastern State, Missouri Western, the Lions, Fort Hays State, Northwest Missouri, Newman and Lincoln to round out the team scores.

The Lions will play a final 18 holes tomorrow.
