MSSU soccer falls to Central Missouri 6-1

Warrensburg, Mo. - The Missouri Southern women's soccer team fell to No. 8 Central Missouri, 6-1, inside the South Recreation Complex Sunday afternoon.

Freshman Brianna Marquez launched a shot outside the box in the 83rd minute of the second period for her first goal since joining the Lions (1-4-1). Sophomore forward Bailey Belcher led the squad with two shots on the day in 43 minutes of action while junior midfielder Carina Calderon registered 83 minutes with a shot on goal.








UCM (5-1) held on after coming out scoring two goals in the opening ten minutes of the match. The Jennies added four more in the second period to secure the win.

Missouri Southern closes out non-conference play at home against Northwest Missouri State Friday night before opening MIAA action in a rematch with Missouri Western on Sunday at 1:00 pm.
