Missouri Southern junior pole vaulter Emily Presley has been named the MIAA Women's Field Athlete of the Week as announced by the league office today.
Presley wins the award for the second time this season. A junior from St. Clair, Mo., had another NCAA AQ in the pole vault as she won the event at the Central Missouri Mule Relays this past weekend.
Presley set a new stadium record with a height of 13-05.25. Presley continues to lead Division II in the event by nearly four inches and has the top mark in the MIAA by a foot.
Burns and the Lions will be back in action this Friday as Southern plays host to the Bill Williams/Bob Laptad Invitational inside Fred G. Hughes Stadium.
