The Missouri Southern softball team fell to Central Oklahoma by scores of 4-0 in game one and 8-2 in game two inside the Broncho Softball Stadium Friday Afternoon.
Game One
MSSU (22-28, 9-15 MIAA) fell behind early, 2-0, in the first inning after walking-in both runs.
The Bronchos (28-19, 16-8 MIAA) added two more down the line to take game one, 4-0.
Emily Harris and Shelby Friend posted both hits for the game in the shape of two singles for the Lions.
Game Two
The Lions led off with a RBI-single by Elizabeth Windsorto score Abi Corbett in the first.
UCO came right back in the third to take a 2-1 advantage. Then tacked on four others in the fifth and two more in the sixth to win 8-2 to conclude the day.
Windsor recorded a 2-for-4 stand at the plate and knocked in both RBIs (2) for Southern in the loss.
Next Up
Southern gets right back at it tomorrow afternoon in its final matchup of the 2018 season against Northeastern in a MIAA doubleheader at 1:00 pm.
