Spring Hill, Kan. -- The Missouri Southern men's golf team finished ninth after today's final round in the 2018 MIAA Golf Championships hosted at Sycamore Ridge Golf Club.
The Lions were led by Tristan Haltom as he shot a final round 75 to finish with a three-day total of 219 and tied for 6th individually. Logan Greer shot a final-round 73 and finished tied for 24th at 223 for the tournament. Taylor Haltom shot a final-round 76 and was tied for 36th individually at 230, while Grant Sikes shot a 234 for the tournament. Connor Neil finished at 245.
Lindenwood parlayed a second-round score of 277 to finish the tournament 13 strokes in front of second place Central Missouri and earn both the Tournament and Regular-Season MIAA Titles. Lindenwood earns the MIAA's automatic qualifying spot to the NCAA Super Regional.
Nebraska-Kearney finished third, while Washburn, Central Oklahoma, Fort Hays, Missouri Western, Northeastern State, Southern, Southwest Baptist and Lincoln round out the team scores.
Lindenwood went into the MIAA Tournament tied for fourth in the standings, but won the MIAA Title by two points over Central Missouri. The final MIAA standings are listed below.
