he Missouri Southern golf team has been picked sixth in the 2017-18 MIAA preseason Men's Golf Poll the league announced today.
The Lions will have four golfers returning, including regional participant Connor Neil. Six newcomers will join the team, including two transfers.
Southern finished fifth in the 2016-17 final team standings. Central Missouri was picked to win the league and picked up nine of the ten possible first-place votes. Central Oklahoma was second, followed by Lindenwood, Washburn, Northeastern State, Southern, Missouri Western, Nebraska-Kearney, Southwest Baptist, Lincoln and Fort Hays State to round out the poll.
The Lions begin the season on September 11-12 traveling to Central Missouri to participate in the first of two MIAA fall points events.
