MSSU men's track qualifies nine for nationals

The Missouri Southern men's track and field team has qualified nine individuals for the 2015 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships and nine different athletes were named All-Region today.

Jeff Fraley leads a big contingent of athletes going to Michigan at the end of May for the National Meet. Fraley has qualified second in both the 100m and the 200m and will run the anchor leg of the 4x100m relay team that qualified seventh. Other members of the relay team include Jazz Allen, Erron Holley and Desmond Williams.

Fraley was also named an All-Region pick in the 100m, the 200m, the 400m and the 4x100m relay.

Darion Boure qualified sixth in the triple jump and was an All-Region pick in the event. Morgan Hold qualified 11th in the pole vault and was an All-Region pick, while Holley, Allen and Williams picked up All-Region honors for for the relay.

Nicklas Polizzi qualified 11th in the discus and earned All-Region honors, while Eric Schott qualified 13th in the 10k, also earning All-Region honors. Derek Webb picked up All-Region honors and qualified 16th for nationals.

Bryan Burns also earned All-Region honors in the shot, but missed out on qualifying for nationals.

The team will compete in the National Meet on May 21-23 in Allendale, Mich.
