Former East Newton High School and Missouri Southern State University football standout Allen Barbre has a new team.
The Philadelphia Eagles traded Barbre to Denver Wednesday;
Barbre will compete for a spot as a guard in Denver, which could have as many as four new starters on the offensive line.
"I don't see why not. I have played in multiple systems," Barbre told Denver7. "I know what they are trying to do there. It's up to me to pick up the terminology quickly.
"But I am excited to get there. This is a great opportunity."
Barbre, 33, started 12 games last season for Philadelphia, playing left guard and some right tackle.
