Crowder College hires new soccer coach

(From Crowder College)

Crowder College is pleased to announce the hiring of Matthew Wolf as the Men’s Soccer Coach.

Wolf most recently served as Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator at Indiana University East in Richmond, Indiana. His Coach experience began almost ten years ago at NCAA DIII Whitworth University. His extensive experience in recruiting and coaching made him a valuable candidate for Crowder’s program.

“I am incredibly excited to be the next Head Men’s Soccer Coach at Crowder College. Over the last few years I have learned more and more about Crowder while on the recruiting trail. After speaking with Coach Sisemore and the search committee, I soon realized Crowder would be an excellent place to continue my career.

"I am confident we will be able to provide a first-class academic and athletic experience for our student-athletes and provide opportunities for first-generation college students to pursue and achieve their goals and dreams,” stated Wolf.

Wolf’s experience continues outside the college arena with soccer club coaching in Montana and Livermore, California, as well as working at the Idaho Olympic Development program as an assistant coach provides him with a wealth of knowledge.

Wolf has also proven to be a coach concerned about his student athletes with scholar team and student-athletes throughout his years of coaching. His coaching skills have also put his team in postseason play in all but one year as well as multiple national rankings across the NCAA and NAIA levels and an appearance in the 2012 NCAA national tournament.

“Crowder Athletics is excited to have the opportunity to work with Coach Wolf who brings in a wealth of knowledge and experience from coast to coast! He has built a great reputation in the soccer community and is well respected from his peers!

"We are extremely excited to see coach Wolf mentor and lead our soccer program and its young men in the future. We know great things are coming and he has already hit the ground running putting in countless hours and dedication to insure the program's success, stated John Sisemore, Athletic Director and Softball Coach.”

Crowder College began the men’s soccer program in 2008. The college participates in Division 1 of National Junior College Athletic Association programs.
