Following the game against Washburn the Lions travel to Emporia to take on Emporia State headlined by last season's MIAA Freshman of the Year and Week 7's Athlete of the Week Tre'zure Jobe.

Hornet Returners

Picked to finish win the MIAA, the Hornets return seven from last seasons 24-7, 15-4 MIAA team. Gone are Mollie Mounsey (2nd-team All-MIAA), and Jessica Wayne (Co-DPOY, All-Defensive and Honorable Mention MIAA) but returning is Freshman of the Year Tre'zure Jobe who was a 1st-team All-MIAA selection.
