MSSU track picks up four top 10 finishes at Kansas Relays

Lawrence, Kan. -- The Missouri Southern men's and women's track and field team picked up four top-ten finishes at the Kansas Relays Thursday night as the Lions sent a group of distance runners to compete.

Josh Webb picked up a second-place finish in the 1,500m, finishing in a time of 3:58.23, while Nathan Painter and Nickson Kiptoo placed 17th and 18th, respectively in the event. Kelie Henderson was third in the women's 1,500m with a time of 4:47.53, while Julianna Determan was ninth in the women's 5k in a time of 17:43.71.








In the men's 5k, Michael Shanahan was 16th in a time of 15:25.10, while Cody Berry placed 7th in the 10k in a time of 31:30.08.

The Southern throwers will be in action today at Central Missouri, with the rest of the team competing tomorrow at Missouri S&T.
