Missouri Southern athletics are the focus of the latest “virtual” edition of “Newsmakers” on KGCS-TV.
Jared Bruggeman, MSSU director of athletics, Justin Maskus, MSSU athletic media relations director and Bryan Schiding, MSSU director of track & field and cross country - join Judy Stiles, host and KGCS general manager, to talk about athletic operations in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Topics also include a follow-up to student-athlete success stories from the year, and Schiding’s recent honor of being named the NCAA Division II Men’s Coach of the Year for Track and Field and Cross Country.
The show will air nightly the week of April 20 at 5:30 p.m. – and is currently posted on the station’s YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UB9aXy90-b4.
KGCS programming can be seen on channel 21. It is also available on regional cable television systems such as Sparklight, Mediacom and Suddenlink Communications. The station operates as a service of the Department of Communication at Missouri Southern State University.
